COVID-19 Cart Policy/Fees

The following policy has been put in place due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic.  Our existing cart fees and cart membership rates were established based on the use of ½ a cart and were not intended for everyone to be using a cart on their own.

We have established the following policy, in order to accommodate those, who due to the pandemic may wish to ride on their own as opposed to sharing a cart.  The additional fees, as outlined below are necessary in order to allow for people to feel safe, while limiting the potential negative effects of the pandemic on the facility in the long-term.

We believe that this policy as laid out to be both fair and reasonable.

  1. PUBLIC PLAYER/MULTI-PASS HOLDERS

If a public player, requests to ride a power cart on their own, as opposed to riding with a second individual in their group:  They will be allowed to do so, provided that they: pay an additional single rider fee of $12.00 (plus HST), on top of the green fee/cart fee already paid.  The same fee applies whether playing 9 holes or 18 holes.

This additional fee will not apply in the following circumstances;

  • A player who is either a single or is the lone rider in their group.
  • A group of 3 or 4 golfers where one person is walking, provided that there are no more than 2 carts in use by the 3 riders in that group.

NOTE: If the group is a two-some, or a foursome where 2 players are riding and 2 players are walking and both players who are riding wish to ride a power cart on their own, then the fee will apply.  However only one fee will apply and the two players may split that fee.

2. MEMBERS

If a member of Seaforth Golf Club, wishes to ride a power cart on their own, as opposed to riding with a second individual in their group:  They will be allowed to do so, provided that they pay an additional single rider fee of $10.00 (plus HST), on top of any cart fee already paid. The same fee applies whether playing 9 holes or 18 holes.

This additional fee will not apply in the following circumstances.

3. MEMBERS WITH SEASONAL CART MEMBERSHIP

If a member of Seaforth Golf Club who also holds a seasonal cart membership, whether that be a single cart membership or a couples cart membership, wishes to ride a power cart on their own, as opposed to riding with second individual in their group.  They will be allowed to do so, provided that they pay the additional fee as outlined in section (2) above.  Or as an additional option, they may make a one-time payment of $200.00 (plus HST) per-person in addition to the Cart Membership already paid.

NOTE:  this means that if a couples cart membership holder wishes only for the single rider ability to apply to one member of the couple then they only need to pay for one person.
